The AI Tsunami has already started and it will get even greater in intensity and power over the next few years. Every single business, every single organisation and every single person in every country will be impacted by this.  Increasing AI capabilities of computers and the application of AI agents and robots will transform businesses for the new AI environment but will result in disruption in employment.   By 2030 there will be job losses of about 20% in the knowledge industries (lawyers, writers, accountants etc )  and robot working will result in losses of 30% of manual or labour-intensive jobs.

With the reduction in the numerous, mundane, boring repetitive, mind-numbing jobs or parts of jobs,  workers will be freed up to do more productive work, making businesses more productive and profitable. Some workers will even get the opportunity to do more meaningful jobs, pursue jobs with a purpose or to even consider changing careers to pursue their passion for arts or other activities.

Humans will not lose their jobs to AI but will lose them to a human supported by AI. Hence it is crucial that workers who want to keep their jobs, familiarise themselves with AI  and find ways to enhance their capabilities by the use of AI.
